PSAT Parent Night, January 31, 2018
Wednesday, January 31, 6:30 p.m.–Homewood Center, 10914 Clarksville Pike, Ellicott City
Parents and students are invited to attend this PSAT information night for assistance interpreting results, and are encouraged to bring score reports to the event.
This October, students in grades 9-11 participated in the Preliminary SAT (PSAT) assessment. Students who included an email address on their test booklets will receive an email from the College Board this week (December 11-15) containing directions on how to access their assessment results online.
Paper home reports will be distributed by winter break with additional information. The home report will also include an access code for students who did not enter an email address at the time of testing.

The American Legion 2018 MD Boys State Program
will be held at McDaniel College, Westminster, MD from June 17 – 23, 2018. The program is a Nationally recognized program in leadership, government, and political sciences. The program’s aim is to expose current high school Juniors to the United States Constitutional form of government. The program emphasizes the necessity of future active participation as a citizen in the government process to insure continuing freedoms and rights. You will understand the American system of government, the responsibilities of citizenship, and the fundamental principles of leadership. Tuition for the program for accepted boys is fully funded by The American Legion, Department of Maryland Posts and sponsors. New Scholarship Opportunities

The Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) Student Scholarship is given annually to the graduating high school senior from the greater Baltimore area who best demonstrates their academic ability and desire to pursue excellence in the electrical engineering community. This is a cash gift to $1,000 per year for up to four years, and is intended to provide cash assistance for books, materials, IT equipment or other necessary items to complete their college education. Students, once awarded, are required to maintain active full time enrollment in an undergraduate electrical engineering or related curriculum. Applications are available in Student Services. Application deadline is April 30, 2018.

Abbott and Fenner Scholarship Program Abbott & Fenner Business Consultants are pleased to be able to continue with our scholarship program for the 11th year. We will be awarding up to $1,000 to the winner(s) each year.

State of Maryland International Reading Association Council offers the Joseph Fox, Jr. Memorial Scholarship. This scholarship offers $2,000 to Maryland high school recipients who plan to major in reading or a reading-related field and pursue coursework that will prepare him/her for a teaching career.
