Congratulations to Mr. Cabotje, a science teacher! Your fine work as a teacher is being honored. One of your former students, a rising senior at the University of Maryland in College Park in the A. James Clark School of Engineering, has been chosen as a 2019-2020 Philip Merrill Presidential Scholar. You have been named as the teacher who had the greatest impact on his academic achievement. The Glenelg FIRST Robotics Team has recently qualified for the Chesapeake District Championship which includes Maryland, Virginia, and the District of Columbia. The District Championship is the top sixty teams out of 129. They are currently ranked 46th place. At both of their last competitions, the team has won the Gracious Professionalism award which celebrates outstanding demonstration of FIRST Core Values such as continuous Gracious Professionalism® working together both on and off the playing field.
