Information and links for families.
The HCPSS Student Code of Conduct provides a framework to support behavioral goals and disciplinary policies. All students are expected to be aware of and abide by this Student Code of Conduct. Parents/guardians are encouraged to read the Student Code of Conduct carefully and to discuss the information with their children. Staff will follow the Student Code of Conduct when supporting students and determining consequences for violations. Additional information about school system practices, policies, and services available to support and enrich learning can be found in the HCPSS Student and Parent Handbook.
Adhere to HCPSS Policy 8080 Responsible Use of Technology and Social Media and other relevant HCPSS policies. Follow the school’s values P.R.I.D.E and more.
If your student is absent from a class or for the entire school day, for any reason, please email GHSAbsence@hcpss.org. We will record your student's absence to help teachers know who needs to make up any missed assignments. Please email your student's first and last name, grade, and reason your student is absent. Only HCPSS approved reasons will be approved per the HCPSS Policy 9010, Attendance.
SchoolMessenger Reporting Form: If you are having issues receiving HCPSS district/school emails and/or text messaging please use this new form for reporting your issues regarding emails/text messages not being delivered.
With the changes to the recently revised Board of Education Policy 8020 Grading and Reporting: Middle and High School, middle and high schools will not distribute interims. The purpose of grading and reporting is to provide timely, meaningful feedback to students and their parents/guardians. Instead of interims, secondary students and parents/guardians are encouraged to regularly monitor progress via the grade book in HCPSS Connect - Canvas. Elementary school teachers do not use Canvas for grading and will continue to distribute interims. Middle/high school students and parents/guardians can use the directions in this post to access current course assignment scores and grade averages.
