On October 16, 2019, all students in grade 9 will take the Preliminary SAT 8/9 (PSAT 8/9) and students in grades 10 and 11 will take the Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT). Both assessments are aligned to the SAT and measure the skills and knowledge that are essential for college and career readiness. Seniors can participate in other activities.
New College Board AP Test Registration: November Deadlines! Checks (made out to Glenelg High School) must be received by 2:30pm or online payments by 11:59pm on November 1st. Students will not be able to register for exams via the AP Portal after the November 1st date.
Glenleg High Homecoming Events!
With the changes to the recently revised Board of Education Policy 8020 Grading and Reporting: Middle and High School, middle and high schools will not distribute interims. The purpose of grading and reporting is to provide timely, meaningful feedback to students and their parents/guardians. Instead of interims, secondary students and parents/guardians are encouraged to regularly monitor progress via the grade book in HCPSS Connect - Canvas. Elementary school teachers do not use Canvas for grading and will continue to distribute interims. Middle/high school students and parents/guardians can use the directions in this post to access current course assignment scores and grade averages.
We welcome and encourage all members of our community to attend football games and other sporting events at Glenelg High School. Glenelg High School athletes, coaches, the athletic director, and the admin team love having the support of so many fans of all ages! Please remember that our youngest Gladiator fans (elementary and middle school-aged) should always attend under the supervision of an adult. Please do not drop off elementary and middle school children to be supervised by high school siblings. By ensuring the adult supervision of children under high school age, the Glenelg staff can focus on keeping all members of the community safe during these events.
