The Pops Concert will take place on Thursday, October 17, 2019, at 7:00 pm at Glenelg High School in the Auditorium. Tickets are $8.00 and can be purchased from choir students in advance or at the door on October 17, 2019. Come out and enjoy the first concert of the year!Fri, 09/27/2019 - 8:32am
Beginning Monday, October 7, 2019, all students who drive and park at Glenelg High School are required to display the 2019/2020 hangtag they were given when they presented their paperwork to the front office. Parking by Permit Only signs is posted in our parking lots. A survey of our lot this week discovered that there were 20 students without hangtags parking on our lot. All students have been notified that they are required to attend with their parent the final Fall Safe Driving Meeting scheduled for Thursday, October 3, 2019, at 6:30 PM at Hammond High School. If your Junior plans on parking after the seniors graduate they must still attend a Safe Driving Meeting.Fri, 09/27/2019 - 8:17am
Youth in Conversation (YIC) is inviting all interested high school students to meet twice a month to have facilitated dialogues and create Podcasts. Our goals are to address the challenges and gifts of diversity, teach dialogue skills to use in difficult conversations and provide leadership opportunities for students to create environments where all feel welcome. At approximately 10:50 am on September 20, 2019, about 150 students from Glenelg High School participated in the student lead Climate Strike, the nationwide movement. Students congregated in the stadium, while speeches were read regarding climate change. After the strike commenced at 11:22 am, students returned to their 4th-period classes or their lunch shifts. The walkout was peaceful and no incidents occurred. The administration and staff were there to ensure the students were safe and to serve with any crowd management.Fri, 09/20/2019 - 12:28pm
