Student Service Opportunity

Event Name: Food Donation Check-in Support for Thanksgiving Dinner

Date: Wednesday, November 21st, 2018

Number of Volunteers Needed: 2-3 per Shift

Location: Melville United Methodist Church Community Hall

Location Address: 5660 Furnace Ave, Elkridge, MD 21075

*one-story building located to the right of the church

Responsibilities: help set up the community hall for Thanksgiving Day dinner; receive, log and

refrigerate food items; other simple responsibilities as requested. This volunteer opportunity

will also have a lot of downtime while waiting for donations. OK to bring hand-held electronics.

Split shifts available: Yes

Shift 1: 8:00 am – 12:30 pm

Shift 2: 12:15 pm – 5:00 pm

Food available for volunteers: Yes

What to wear: comfortable/casual

NHS/SSL Hours Available: Yes, a letter will be provided after shift is completed.
