Baccalaureate Ceremony, Seniors, May 22, 2019

Tue, 03/19/2019 - 2:54pm

Calling all Seniors!  The PTSA and community sponsored Baccalaureate Ceremony will be held at 6:30 pm on May 22, 2019, at Glenelg High School Auditorium.
The Baccalaureate ceremony is a spiritual send-off for seniors of all religions and nationalities. It is a time to hear inspirational messages of hope and vision, watch fellow musical selections, skits, or dramatic readings, and wear the cap and gown. The ceremony, which lasts for about an hour, starts with the seniors walking down the aisle accompanied by the traditional graduation music, Pomp, and Circumstance.

During the ceremony, guest speakers will give a message of hope and encouragement for the graduates and their families. Afterward, light refreshments will be served. It’s a special event to honor the seniors for their hard work and dedication throughout their four years at Glenelg High School.

  • Seniors should wear their cap and gown
  • They can sit with friends
  • No tickets required, invite your whole family
  • Light refreshments after the ceremony
