Women in Aerospace Science & Engineering

Thursday, February 27, 2020     6:45 P.M.

Miller Branch Library Ellicott City                9421 Frederick Rd., Ellicott City, MD

Women panelists from University of Maryland Aerospace Engineering will present their studies and careers in this exciting industry of aerospace-related science and engineering panel.

Famed pilot Amelia Earhart was a Zonta member. She advocated for women to grow their economic independence, and that women had opportunities in applied science and engineering, particularly in aviation. Although greatly outnumbered by men in the industry, she hoped that women would share with men the joy of scientific development and make impossible dreams a reality.
