Glenelg High School Student Services News

Attention Seniors College Admission Reps are calling daily to set up a time to visit Glenelg High School to speak to any students who are interested in finding out more about their school. Please check Naviance often to see which colleges are going to be visiting Glenelg High School. New ones are being added daily. If you are interested in meeting with any reps who will be in Student Services, you MUST sign up to attend on your Naviance Account. It is your responsibility to note the date and time of the visit in your agenda book. And, then come to Student Services when the college is scheduled to be here. Reminder passes are not sent.

College Essay Writing Workshops:
Join the Student Services Department for our annual College Essay Writing Workshops.
Local admissions officers, and Glenelg High staff have volunteered to read your college essay and give you constructive feedback and tips for improving your essay.
The workshops will be held in the Glenelg HS Media Center on September 28, 2021 and October 12, 2021 from 2:10-3:30pm.
Please sign up for one of the workshops through your Naviance account by going to "College Visits."
Virtual College Planning Workshop evening presentation on Tuesday, September 14th from 6pm - 8pm.
College Application Process & Transcript Request - 2022 Seniors
SENIORS...Are you considering attending a 2-year or 4-year college/university after high school?
GHS Student Services visited ALL English 12 classes Thursday, 9/9 and Friday, 9/10 to review the college application process.
Your Student Services team is also offering a virtual evening presentation on Tuesday, 9/14 from 6 to 8pm. If you have already completed English 12, or are taking English 12 at HCC, you should plan to attend this virtual event. If you cannot attend, you should ask a parent/guardian to attend for you. Students will receive a copy of their unofficial transcript through English class or they can stop into Student Services to pick up a pre-printed copy.
All students and parents are welcome to attend the virtual evening presentation on Tuesday, September 14th from 6pm - 8pm.
