College and Post-Graduate Scholarships
Application Open October 15 – March 15
Central Scholarship will open its scholarship application on October 15, 2021 to coincide with the college application season. The application portal will remain open until March 15, 2022.
“We decided to open our application earlier so students can apply for our scholarships while they are already in application mode. In most cases, students can re-use or recycle their college application essays for the Central Scholarship application,” says Central Scholarship President Tierra A. Dorsey
The process is simple:
Students complete and submit the application
Our scholarship committee reads and selects semi-finalists
All requested materials are reviewed
Semi-finalists are invited for an interview
Winners are selected based on their application and interview.
The application takes about 30 – 40 minutes to complete
To be eligible to receive a scholarship or interest-free loan for undergraduate, graduate, or professional degrees, a student must:
Be a Maryland resident (but they can attend any accredited U.S. college)
Have a GPA of 2.8 or higher to be competitive
Plan to attend an accredited college, university, or community college, in the upcoming academic year
Be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident
Have a family income of $90,000 or less
