Apprenticeship and Training is offered in over 50 occupations, including bricklaying, carpentry, cement masonry, electrical, glazing, insulating, iron working, laborers, operating engineering, painting, plumbing, sheet metal work, sprinkler fitting, steam fitting, stone, marble, terrazzo workers, and tile setters.
You are cordially invited to investigate a career in the trades by attending this career fair on November 12, 2019 at the Finishing Trades Institute of Maryland, Virginia, Washing, D.C. All the building Trades Apprenticeship Programs will be represented so students can learn about every trade and make an educated decision about a career in the construction industry and choose a trade in which they will excel.

College Reps are calling daily to set up times to meet with students in Student Services who are interested in meeting with them to find out more about their schools. Check Naviance often to see which schools have scheduled a time. Sign up to meet with them if interested.
It is your responsibility to note your scheduled visit dates and time in your agenda book. Then, come to Student Services for your scheduled visit. Reminder passes are not sent.

Apply Now for JROTC
Junior Reserve Officers Training Corps (JROTC) programs are offered at Atholton (Army), Howard (Army) and Oakland Mills (Air Force) high schools. Each JROTC program provides an introduction to career opportunities in the United States’ Armed Forces and teaches principles of leadership, discipline and civic responsibility.
A student who wishes to participate in JROTC but does not attend one of the schools that offers the program may apply for participation. Each school has a limited number of additional spaces available. To apply for participation for the 2020-2021 school year, students must schedule an interview with JROTC officials between December 2, 2019 through January 3, 2020. Only students who are interviewed during this period will be considered for enrollment.
Students who are approved for admission into a JROTC program will be notified by letter by January 24, 2020, and must make a registration appointment with officials by Janaury 31, 2020.
