Beginning Monday, October 7, 2019, all students who drive and park at Glenelg High School are required to display the 2019/2020 hangtag they were given when they presented their paperwork to the front office. Parking by Permit Only signs is posted in our parking lots. A survey of our lot this week discovered that there were 20 students without hangtags parking on our lot. All students have been notified that they are required to attend with their parent the final Fall Safe Driving Meeting scheduled for Thursday, October 3, 2019, at 6:30 PM at Hammond High School. If your Junior plans on parking after the seniors graduate they must still attend a Safe Driving Meeting.
After October 7, 2019, students parking without an approved hang tag will be subject to the following consequences:
- First violation - A written school warning for our Security Officer, Mr. Perry, who will meet with the student and call the parent/guardian.
- Second violation – A written HCPD warning for our SRO, Officer Willingham, who will meet with the student and call the parent/guardian.
- Third violation – An official Howard County Police Department Parking citation and $50.00 fine.
