Katherine Miller was announced this afternoon as the winner of the 1st Quarter Instagram Food Photography Contest in our Culinary Academy. Each week for the last seven weeks, students submitted original photos to me with captions and hashtags to promote engagement on our classroom Instagram account, @glenelghsculinary. Congratulations! Katherine's vanilla layer cake with (food-safe) cookie dough filling and vanilla buttercream garnered the most engagement and she was declared the winner today! She will receive a prize package of foodie-related gadgets and treats donated by our curriculum partner, the Restaurant Association of Maryland's educational arm ProStart and Mrs. Delaney, Culinary Teacher. Looks yummy, wonderful job!
