Fall Sports Tryout Information

Glenelg High School Fall 2025 Tryout Schedule

All tryouts begin on Wednesday, August 13, 2025, unless otherwise noted.  Times and locations are subject to change—confirm directly with coaches.*All paperwork needs to be completed by August 11th in order to participate. Parents/Guardians need to register their student-athlete through the parent portal at hcpss.org/connect under the tab labeled “HS Athletic Registration”. Information on how to register, below. 

Cheerleading
Cross Country
Field Hockey
  • Dates: August 13 - 15

Boys' Soccer

  • You will need cleats, shin guards, water, and running/tennis shoes. 
Girls' Soccer
  • Dates: August 13 - 15
  • Times: 6:30 am to 8:30 am

  • JV Volleyball on August 13th from 3:30 pm  to  6:00 pm.

Fall sports tryouts begin August 13, 2025. 

The registration for high school sports is completed through HCPSS Connect.  

Once the Athletic Participation Form is completed, additional required forms will appear, along with options to upload the following documents:

  • Valid Physical Exam: Must be dated after September 1, 2024
  • Proof of Residency: Must be a utility bill (electric, gas, water, or cable) dated after May 27, 2025

Mortgage statements, deeds, titles, or cell phone bills are NOT acceptable.

 

Eligibility and Expectations

  • To be academically eligible for Fall sports, students must have earned a 2.0 and have no more than one E in the fourth quarter of school year 2024-25.  Incoming Grade 9 students are automatically eligible for the Fall sports season.
  • Students are expected to attend tryouts to be eligible for sports team consideration.
