Senior Diploma Distribution, June 1, 2020

We will be having our diploma distribution on Monday, June 1, 2020, from 8:00 am to 3:30 pm. Students will need to be present to receive their diploma and senior packet. The details are outlined below. Please read carefully and make sure that you check off everything you need to do. Your help will ensure that this process runs smoothly.

Need Groceries or Medication Delivered? Howard County Reacts

This service is intended to assist Howard County citizens that cannot leave their homes during the COVID-19 crisis and are having trouble getting groceries delivered in a timely fashion. This service is a joint venture between Howard County REACT and Howard County COAD (Community Organizations Active in Disaster) To get started visit the Howard County React website and follow the directions.

Jena Ialongo, Making a Difference

Jena Ialongo is a senior at Glenelg High School. With the help of a dozen other people, they have been able to make over 1200 masks and donate them to people in need. Jenna was featured on WJZ for her work and also she set up a virtual prom via video conferencing app Zoom with her friends. We are proud of the work all of our Gladiators are doing during these difficult time! Way to go Gladiator!

AP Exam Information for May 11, 2020

Testing starts Monday, May 11th, for Physics C and United States Government and Politics. A few final reminders as you go into testing next week.

Top 2.5% PSAT

Congratulations to Emmanuel Mekasha and Nicole Wildy for scoring in the top 2.5% on the PSAT/NMSQT among high school junior test-takers in our region who identify as one or more of the following: African American, Hispanic American or Latinx, Indigenous, or attend school in a rural area, or from a small town. These students are invited to participate in the College Board National Recognition Programs (CBRP). Congratulations on your amazing accomplishment!

HoCo Rainbow Conference 2020

We are pleased to share that the HoCo Rainbow Conference is ON... and going ONLINE (through Google Meet)! Registration is currently underway and we hope you will spread the word to your students and staff members and let them know that they can go to our website bit.ly/HCPSSRainbow to complete registration to attend this FREE conference. Conference attendees will receive a copy of the Rainbow Vision Literary Magazine featuring student voices from high school students throughout HCPSS, as well as a conference bag and resources (as soon as schools reopen and we have access to retrieving them). Participants can register for just one OR up to seven sessions that they wish to attend.
